Trinity Speech & Drama Initial Level

Introductory

This course offers an introduction to the Trinity experience, giving students a feel for what is expected and how to approach the process.

What's included:

  • 10 hours of one-to-one tutoring with me, at a pace that suits you and in the comfort of your own home. (Further sessions can be added if needed)
  • Introduction to Trinity and the speech and drama process
  • Guided story telling skills
  • Examination preparation

The Discovery Programs

Trinity Speech & Drama Foundation Level

Grades 1 - 3

These courses offer a more involved and in-depth approach to Speech & Drama, and provide the student with the tools needed to perform to the best of their ability and achieve the best possible result in the examination. Easy to follow guides and handouts are used to ensure the student has all the information they require to feel confident about taking the exam.

What's included:

  • 15 hours of one-on-one tutoring with me, at a pace that suits you and in the comfort of your own home. (Further sessions can be added if needed)
  • An introduction to verse, prose and reading aloud
  • Help and tips on learning your chosen pieces by heart
  • An introduction to mime and mime skills
  • Handouts and written guides
  • Understanding of meaning and mood of the chosen pieces
  • Improvisation skills and preparation. (Grade 3 only)
  • There is also the opportunity for students to perform their work at the Lincoln Music and Drama festival and the Wolfit Festival of Drama and Verse in Newark
  • Examination entry fee

The Development Programs

Trinity Speech & Drama Intermediate Level

Grades 4 - 5

These courses build on the skills and knowledge gained so far by providing the student with more information, tools and a thorough background understanding of the subject, further equipping the student for the exam. Easy to follow guides and handouts are used to ensure the student has all the information they will need to feel confident and assured when taking the exams.

What's included:

  • 20 hours of one-on-one tutoring with me, at a pace that suits you and in the comfort of your own home. (Further sessions can be added if needed)
  • Further skills in reading poetry, prose and drama
  • Relaxation and breathing techniques
  • Use and understanding of inflection and intonation
  • Work on phrasing, pace and an understanding of the meaning and context within the texts chosen
  • Enhanced improvisation skills and preparation
  • Recommended further study texts
  • There is also the opportunity for students to perform their work at the Lincoln Music and Drama festival and the Wolfit Festival of Drama and Verse in Newark
  • Examination entry fee

The Expansion Programs

Trinity Speech & Drama Advanced Level

Grades 6 - 7

These courses expand on the knowledge gained up to this point and equip the student with the comprehensive and extensive knowledge required to undertake the higher Trinity certificates. They will be provided with the skills, understanding and advanced level of expertise required in order to excel in the examination and attain the highest mark possible. Comprehensive guides, handouts and reference materials will be provided to assist the student in understanding the information covered during the sessions and to encourage deeper thinking and involvement in the subject. All these factors influence the final exam mark and the overall success of the student.

What's included:

  • 25 hours of one-to-one tutoring with me, at a pace that suits you and in the comfort of your own home. (Further sessions can be added if needed)
  • Advanced skills in prose and verse speaking
  • Stage skills, presence, projection and devising
  • Breathing and relaxation exercises
  • Work on vocal tone, resonance and articulation
  • Textual analysis, including historical context, style, themes and literary/dramatic message
  • Advanced drama, acting and voice techniques
  • Encouraging creative thinking around literature and drama
  • Recommended further study texts and a list of any appropriate additional works for consideration
  • There is also the opportunity for students to perform their work at the Lincoln Music and Drama festival and the Wolfit Festival of Drama and Verse in Newark
  • Examination entry fee

I will give you the benefit of my extensive speech and drama experience and share with you all these techniques for only:

  • Grade 6 - £1160
  • Grade 7 - £1170

The Ultimate Program

Trinity Speech & Drama Advanced Level

Grade 8

This course further expands on the knowledge gained up to this point and fully equips the student with the comprehensive and extensive knowledge required to undertake the final and highest Trinity certificate. They will be provided with the skills, understanding and advanced level of expertise required in order to excel in the examination and attain the highest mark possible. Comprehensive guides, handouts and reference materials will be provided to assist the student in understanding the information covered during the sessions and to encourage deeper thinking and involvement in the subject. All these factors influence the final exam mark and the overall success of the student.

  • Up to 30 hours of one-to-one tutoring with me, at a pace that suits you and in the comfort of your own home. (Further sessions can be added if needed)
  • Advanced skills in prose and verse speaking
  • Breathing and relaxation exercises
  • Work on vocal tone, resonance and articulation
  • Textual analysis, including historical context, style, themes and literary/dramatic message
  • Recommended further study texts and a list of any appropriate additional works for consideration

About Trinity

Trinity certificates in all subjects provide a framework on which to develop a student’s performance skills. They encourage students to progress and advance their ability through drama, communication and performance, building confidence and self-belief along the way.
